Our Capoeira Kindy Program is thoughtfully designed for children aged 3–5, combining movement, music, and play in a way that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
With over 26 years of teaching experience and partnerships with more than 30 early learning centres across Townsville, we deliver a program that is not only fun and engaging—but also supports meaningful developmental outcomes.
Capoeira provides a rich, interactive learning experience that contributes to all five EYLF outcomes:

Children have a strong sense of identity
Through movement and group participation, children build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. -
Children are connected with and contribute to their world
Partner activities and group games encourage teamwork, cooperation and respect for others. -
Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
Active movement develops coordination, balance, strength, and body awareness in a safe, supportive environment. -
Children are confident and involved learners
New skills like rhythm, movement patterns and basic acrobatics promote curiosity, problem-solving and persistence. -
Children are effective communicators
Music, singing (including Portuguese songs) and rhythm activities enhance listening skills, expression, and communication.
Capoeira itself is a unique Brazilian art form that blends martial arts, dance, music, and culture—making it the perfect vehicle for holistic early childhood development.
What Children Experience in Each Session

Every session is designed to be inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, ensuring all children can participate, explore, and succeed.
With a strong focus on active participation, creativity, and fun, “Capoeira Day” quickly becomes a highlight of the week for both children and educators.

Each year we hold our Annual Capoeira Festival where we fly in Guest Instructors and provide a week of Workshops and Rodas.
The week culminates in our Student Gradings.
